"Wow! This is a really great seminar and an excellent presentation of good, solid, clicker training concepts. Here are just some of the things that I enjoyed about it: Hannah's amazing ability to work at a high rate of reinforcement. All the little tricks Hannah has developed for herself so that she can have a high rate of reinforcement. The constant reminders of how and why to treat out of position – keeps the rate up, works on specific muscle movements. The very specific treat location for each task – Hannah knows where she wants to reinforce for each step of a task and has very good reasons for doing so. The constant emphasis on offered behaviors and building in the motivation and energy in those behaviors. The complete removal of unnecessary behaviors when training. For example, when working on a dumbbell toss, don't ask the dog to sit, don't ask the dog to be in heel, don't ask the dog to front. One criterion at a time. Hannah is a master of one and only one criterion at a time. The detailed information on the exact muscle movement needed to perform the behavior, not only precisely, but comfortably, which tells you your shaping steps. Hannah's ability to split, split, split. The fact that Hannah rarely practices full obedience exercises. Hannah's use of very clever targeting tasks to train obedience behaviors – chin targeting used in dumbbell training, shoulder targeting used in heeling. I am loving Hannah's dumbbell training steps so much that I bought a dumbbell for my dog just so I could experience her cool and very quick training steps. I could go on and on, but I highly recommend that you get the Obedience FUNdamentals DVD and see for yourself. It's a super, super-great seminar!" Helix Fairweather, KPA Faculty Member >>>
